Veterinary Technician
Lake Marion Animal Hospital is a small-animal veterinary practice located in Summerton, SC. We are a small team of friendly and skilled staff members that place a high value on customer service and patient care. We are looking for a veterinary technician who is focused on fully learning and utilizing their technical skills and teamwork to provide compassionate care to our patients and clients. The VT will aid the veterinarian in achieving greater efficiency by performing technical work and administrative details. These duties include, but are not limited to: animal restraints, surgery prep, lifting animals, patient treatments, communicating with and educating clients about their pets.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Starting pay: $10.00-$14.00 per hour
Drug Test and Background Check may be required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of people in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Also frequently required to sit, walk, reach, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and balance, and occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move office products and supplies, up to 60 pounds.
- Frequently required to restrain, lift, carry, or otherwise move animals up to 40 pounds on own, and over 40 pounds with assistance.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
